Shopping with Rack Room Shoes

I had the opportunity to check out the new Rack Room Shoes at The Outlets of Des Moines, which opened it's doors on October, 19th as the first store of it's kind in Iowa. It does not disappoint! The store is located just down from the cozy fireplace, with plenty of centralized maps to get you to where you are wanting to go. The store was incredibly clean and set up perfectly with lots of staff to accommodate your shopping needs. It boasts all types of shoes and styles for men, women and children, with plenty of sizes available and in stock. If you are not familiar with Rack Room Shoes, they have their own private brands such as Franco Fortini, and feature premium details, materials and the latest design styles, especially on boots! You can also check our their website HERE as there you will find a fun little surprise over on their site 😉 Below are the styles that I ended up buying on my first trip in! FRANCO FORTINI CARLY BOOTIE 

How cute are these boots? And I swear they are the most comfortable pair I own! They have super soft inserts and this rust brown color is the perfect neutral bootie for any season!

NEW BALANCE

This color has my heart. Burgundy and rose gold are really the perfect pairing and I love how you can dress these up with a sweater or dress them down to and from the gym.

LIMELIGHT MONIQUE

Velvet.... also know as the hottest trend right now! These are 1/2 the price of other look alike booties, which I love, because I don't like paying a fortune for shoes that are not your standard shoe. These booties are fun and will spice up any outfit, anytime!

NIKE FLEX

I need these in every color! Grey goes great with everything and these sneakers are so lightweight making them really easy to pack for vacations too! Of course I love the added touch of gold 😉

BLACK VELVET BOOTIES

What made my shopping experience even better, was that they offer free shipping in store to your home so you don't have to carry around bags. Who doesn't love shopping, bag free? Such a nice perk since a lot of people traveling from out of town may not want to haul a ton of bags home, and trust me, you will leave this store with a lot of bags!

I was impressed with all of the brands and athletic shoes they carried in the store and online. Brands like Nike, Converse, Adidas, and New Balance. And they weren't just selling plain white Converse shoes, they had them in all styles and a variety of colors, making it hard to choose just one pair. 

Some of you may be wondering why or how a store like this could be such a great addition to our community? I personally like to collaborate with companies who give back, and each back to school season, Rack Room Shoes hosts a Shoes That Fit fundraiser event, empowering customers to give back to their local communities by supplying children in need with shoes. The money raised is channeled through local school liaisons who identify students and school systems in need, while also coordinating the distribution of new footwear. Since 2007, Rack Room Shoes has raised a total of $5,604,113 and donated a whopping 206,201 pairs of shoes to children in need. So amazing right? Also, through a newly unveiled Kids Club, Rack Room Shoes encourages parents to submit photos of their children wearing Rack Room Shoes, simply by using the hashtag #iamrackroom, for a chance to be featured in the brand's Kids Club advertising. If you are already wearing them, why not share them?

How to Shop with LiketoKnow.it

First off it is a huge honor to be apart of LiketoKNOW.it and I love being able to bring new things to you on a daily basis and share my style, sales and basically my life with all of you! I appreciate every one of you that is following along because you all inspire me to do more and bring better content each time! So thank you!!

Des Moines, where I live, is not really a huge fashion hub....yet, but it is up and coming and in a few short years, I think this will eventually take over our social media and everyone will know what it is and how to shop the styles they find! If you are not into fashion, which is totally fine, they also have Liketoknow.it home, family and travel posts too! So you are not just signing up to shop clothing! If you see a post and like a rug, it may be linked for you to shop.

Now lets get you signed up! It is FREE and you can control your emails, alerts and well hopefully your spending too. Haha! 

Start by signing up HERE and it will look like something the photo below.

Click the sign up button! Then it will take you to this screen:

Fill out the sign up page and click submit! Remember, if you want to change and alter email settings, like how often you want to receive them, do that on your computer since it is in the settings and you are unable to do them from a mobile device.

Once you are all signed up, next step is to download the App! Make sure you search LIKEtoKNOW.it and not Reward Style! The Reward Style app is for the influencers like me! The App looks like the very first one on the image below!

Now you are ready to start shopping your Instagram feed! I love it when people do #FollowFridays because that is how I learn about new fashionistas to follow and the more I follow, the more inspired I am! If you are not sure if you are following "shopable" images, just search the hashtags on your Instagram. 

Common hashtags for Shopable links are:

#LTKtravel, #LTKstyletip, #LTKshoecrush, #LTKunder50, #LTKunder100, #liketkit, #LTKhome, #LTKfamily, #LTKbump (pregnancy style), #LTKbaby, #LTKkids

Also make sure you are following @liketoknow.it, @liketoknow.it.family, and @liketoknow.it.home on Instagram and @liketoknow.it.Europe too!

Once you start following people and start liking photos, you will open up your App on your smartphone and it will look something like the image below. From here just click on one of the photos to start shopping!

From here, just click on what you loved and it will take you directly to that website and pull up that item! Choose your size and color if that option is available and add it to your cart! I told you it was super easy!! This is @teacherfashionista and she was the first one who pulled up, so lucky her!! She is a total sweetheart! Sometimes we are unable to find the exact products we are wearing since items sell out or are older than 1 year old, so we will link very similar items or even designer knock offs for you to shop!

GAP Style Made Easy!

How often do you get to shop alone without your child hiding in the racks and licking the floor or your poor pitiful significant other whining because men don't want to shop or he is staring at every price tag reminding you how expensive it is?? Am I right or am I right? How cute are these sunnies? Yes, even I forgot that GAP has sunnies and they are actually really great quality and obviously cute too! This cami is silky and has a pleated detail that is hard to see in this photo but so cute. Pair with a denim jacket if you want low key, wear alone for a date night or put on a cardi for a relaxed look! So so simple! Plus, it is loose so definitely a must for pizza night ☺️

Embroidery is not just for your grandma! This season it is hot and especially paired with an off the shoulder look too! This one is very comfy and loose fit so if you want it to look more "fitted" give it a little front tuck like I did in the image above! I paired it with flats but this would be adorable for a concert paired with boots!

Need a basic pair of skinny jeans? These are your pair! Great color and fit and oh so comfy. Easily could re-wear these a few times in 1 week! This top is light blue stripes with a small bubble like sleeve. It gives it enough of a different look you don't feel like the Michelin man but enough detail to dress up and wear out! As good as it gets right here! Comfy slip on shoes, boyfriend sweater and girlfriend style distressed jeans. Oh and these are GAP sunnies again. I love black and gold, it just gives it a little sass. These jeans run true to size but are more relaxed than normal, so comfy and the stripe on the sweater is more interesting than just a plain color.

Pair it with an army green jacket or a bomber jacket for another look this season!

If you buy one dress this season, please buy this one!! It is so good it hurts! I sized down on this one. The cinched waist tie is enough detail to not have to wear many accessories. The fabric is buttery soft and the color is perfection! This will sell out fast and will be a staple in your closet! Trust me!

Tercel Sleeveless Shirtdress

Put a jacket over it, a bomber, a cardigan for different looks. Pair it with converse shoes, flip flops or short booties like I did. So versatile I could scream!
