Sunday Stromboli

Want a quick and easy dinner that you can customize to everyone's liking? Well this is your recipe. I love me some Pinterest and this is a recipe that I found while scanning through the Food & Drink category. I am not one to follow the directions perfectly and primarly because I like to experiment. Just call me Betty Crocker :) Ha I wish! This dinner is ready in 40 minutes or less, easy clean up and even easier prep! I cheat and use HyVee's frozen white bread dough. Take one of the already made loaves out of the freezer and place on a plate to thaw the morning before your dinner. I set mine out today at 11:30 am and it was thawed by 3:00pm. I have let it thaw in the fridge too but I find it isn't as easy to roll out and I like a thinner crust.

For our "side" of the stromboli we like Canadian bacon, provolone, salami, and pepperocinis. Italian delight as I call it. The kids like pepperoni and extra cheese, so put whatever combo you and your family likes to create your own masterpiece.

Roll out the thawed dough on a lightly floured surface. It really doesn't stick to your hands, the flour just makes it easier to roll out/hand toss. Once it's to the thickness you like, start piling on the toppings.

Now, just roll it up and seal the seam and ends. See, it is that easy.

I bake in the oven at 350 degrees for about 30-40 minutes or until light golden brown. Remove from oven, cut into slices, and serve with chips or fruit. Enjoy!
