Lazy Day Cobbler

So I wish Instagram or this blog had smelling capabilities because I promise this cobbler smells better than any candle I could buy!

Lazy Day Cobbler Recipe via LadyandRed.com

My Grandma from Indiana makes this cobbler and it took me 3 times of making it without her recipe to get it to where I loved it, because I will not share anything on here that I don't love! I used blueberries because honestly they were the easiest fruit to use over and over again with no cutting or slicing, but ANY fruit or fruit combo with work with this recipe!

This is as easy as it gets!

Lazy Day Cobbler

1 stick of butter or 1/2 cup

1 cup milk

1/2 cup water-warm ( you can omit this step if you want a more cake-like cobbler, or add 1 cup if you want it more creamy)

1 cup sugar

1 cup self rising flour

2 cups of fruit

1 Tbsp vanilla

Steps:

1.) Melt butter in 9X13 pan in microwave, add vanilla and stir.

2.) Mix together with a spoon dry ingredients and milk into a small mixing bowl. Pour over butter. Do NOT mix together with butter.

3.) Add fruit on top of the batter.

4.) Next, pour the 1/2 cup of warm water over entire dish, again NOT stirring.

5.) Bake at 350 degrees for 40-50 minutes depending on your oven until golden brown.

Serve warm with ice cream or whipped cream for a super easy and yummy dessert!

Here are a few possible fruit ideas to use for this recipe:

Peach, strawberry-rhubarb, blueberry-strawberry (July 4th), blackberry-blueberry, raspberry-peach, raspberry-strawberry, and maybe even apple cinnamon!

Good luck and I would love to hear your creative suggestions!
